Summerie’s Thai started with a simple question from Summer’s mum:

“Do you want to open a Thai shop?”

At the time, Summer had no experience in the kitchen. She was always at the front—serving food, talking to customers, and doing what she loved most: connecting with people.

But when they opened Summerie’s Thai, everything changed.

Her mum told her, “You have to learn the kitchen too.”

From there, Summer learned everything from scratch—guided by her mum every step of the way. The recipes, the techniques, and the way each dish is prepared were all passed down through hands-on experience, rooted in the rich food culture of Central Thailand—where flavours are bold, balanced, and always made to be shared.

What once felt unfamiliar slowly became second nature.

Every dish today is inspired by her roots and the way her mum taught her to cook—fresh, vibrant, and full of flavour. And just like the meals she grew up with, it’s about more than what’s on the plate. It’s about the feeling around the table—bringing people together, sharing dishes, and creating moments that matter.

Today, Summer is still at the heart of it all—welcoming guests, working in the kitchen, and making sure everyone who walks in feels at home.

Because for her, this isn’t just a restaurant.

It’s a continuation of her mum’s cooking, her culture, and the moments that shaped her.
